01. The Handshake (Introduction)
When you hire Sliver Designs, you are doing more than just buying a service. You are bringing us into the inner circle of your business. This document is our digital handshake.
It explains the strict, professional rules we follow to make sure your project is built perfectly, your ideas remain safe, and there is no confusion about money or timelines. By paying a deposit or starting a project with us, you agree to these fair and honest rules.
02. What We Are Building (Scope)
Before we write a single line of code or draw a single sketch, we will agree exactly on what we are building (the "Scope of Work"). We stick to this plan tightly to ensure we deliver on time.
The 'Scope Creep' Rule
03. The Revision Rule (Perfecting Your Vision)
We want you to be obsessed with the final result. That is why our standard projects include two (2) rounds of free revisions. A "revision" means tweaking colors, changing fonts, or moving things around. It does not mean throwing away the entire project and starting from scratch because you changed your mind about your business name. If you need a total restart or more than two rounds of changes, we will simply charge an hourly rate for the extra time.
04. Financial Respect (Payments)
We believe in high-quality work, and high-quality work requires a serious commitment from both sides.
- 70% Upfront Deposit: This non-refundable payment locks in your spot on our calendar and allows us to start building. We do not begin any work until this clears.
- 30% Handover Payment: The final balance is due the moment the project is finished and approved by you.
- "No Pay, No Code": We will not hand over the final logo files, website admin passwords, or live code until the final 30% is fully paid.
05. Respecting Time (Timelines & Ghosting)
We work fast, but we need your help to do it. If we ask you for photos, text, or passwords, we need them promptly to meet your deadline.
The "Project Pause" Rule
If we ask for feedback or files and you disappear for more than 14 days without telling us, we will pause your project and move on to the next client. To restart the project, a 10% re-activation fee will apply to cover the scheduling disruption. If you vanish for 30 days, the project is officially cancelled.
06. Who Owns What (Intellectual Property)
Once your final bill is paid, you completely own the final logo, the specific website design, and the custom artwork we created for you. You are free to trademark it and use it forever. However, Sliver Designs retains ownership of the underlying technical tools, custom code libraries, and software frameworks we used to build the project. We also keep the right to show off the beautiful work we did for you in our public portfolio, unless we sign a specific non-disclosure agreement.
07. Professional Logos (Visual Identity)
Your logo is your signature. We do not use cheap templates or steal icons from Google. Every visual identity we create is built from scratch to ensure your brand looks expensive and unique. We will provide you with all the high-resolution, professional vector files (like SVG and PNG) you need to print your logo on everything from a business card to a massive billboard.
08. The Web Fortress (Full-Stack Development)
When we build a custom, full-stack website for you, we engineer it for extreme speed and security. During development, we will hold the "keys" to your domain and servers to set things up. Once the site is launched and paid for, we hand all the master passwords over to you. It is your digital real estate, and you should be the one holding the ultimate keys.
09. Custom Digital Art (Illustrations)
Our digital art services are meant for deep, meaningful projects like album covers, book covers, and brand illustrations. Because art is highly subjective, we will work closely with you during the sketching phase to ensure the concept is correct before we spend hours painting the final details. We guarantee that your final piece will be a bespoke creation, never reused or resold to another client.
10. Our AI Promise (The Research Lab)
We are currently researching powerful Artificial Intelligence tools in our internal lab to eventually help automate your business. We want to be completely honest: we do not use AI bots to generate your final custom logos or bespoke digital paintings—those require human creativity. Furthermore, any testing we do with AI is totally private. We will never upload your private business plans or secrets into public AI models like ChatGPT.
11. Keeping Secrets (Confidentiality)
We respect your ambition. If you bring us a revolutionary idea for a new app, a secret product launch, or a highly confidential business plan, we keep our lips sealed. We will never share your private strategies, customer lists, or financial data with anyone outside of our development team.
12. Post-Launch Support (Warranty)
We take extreme pride in writing clean, bug-free code. For full-stack web projects, we offer a 30-Day Free Warranty starting the day your site goes live. If a button stops working or a page looks weird on a mobile phone due to an error in our code, we will fix it immediately for free. This does not cover situations where you or a third party accidentally break the site by changing settings or deleting files after we handed it over.
13. Third-Party Outages (Things We Don't Control)
We use the best global infrastructure available, like Amazon Web Services (AWS) and Vercel, to host your platforms. However, if these massive global companies experience a rare server outage and your site goes down for an hour, or if a payment gateway like Stripe stops working, Sliver Designs cannot be held legally or financially responsible for lost sales during that time. We build the car, but we do not control the highway.
14. Stopping the Project (Cancellations)
Sometimes projects need to end early. Either of us can cancel the project with a written notice. If you decide to cancel the project because you changed your mind about your business, the 70% upfront deposit will be kept as a "Kill Fee." This covers the time, research, and coding we already dedicated to you, which we could have given to another client.
15. How We Talk (Communication)
Clear communication builds great products. All official project approvals, design feedback, and feature requests must be written down via Email or our official WhatsApp channels so we have a clear record. We respect your time, and we ask that you respect ours by keeping communications within standard professional working hours.
16. Respecting Our Team (Non-Solicitation)
We have spent years building a team of elite designers and developers. By working with us, you agree that you will not try to secretly hire, poach, or directly contract any of our staff members or freelancers behind our backs during the project or for 12 months after the project ends.
17. When The Unpredictable Happens (Emergencies)
We operate with excellence, but we are also human beings living in the real world. If a massive, unpredictable emergency happens—like a nationwide power grid collapse, a major internet cable being cut, or severe illness—we are not legally liable for project delays. We will communicate honestly with you and adjust the timeline fairly until things return to normal.
18. Our Home Base (Governing Law)
Sliver Designs is proud to be engineered in Nigeria. These rules and any disagreements that might arise from them will be governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, guided by standard international tech practices.
